Default 06-08 Carbon Fiber Interior Questions

Hey Guys,

I've been looking to at getting a CF Interior kit for a while now. These are the 3 cost effective options:

1. Carbon Creations a.k.a Tonester - his work is top notch but unfortunately he does not do the main console. He would be my first choice as he works directly ontop of your OEM parts.

2. EVO-R - I've heard mixed feedback both positive and negative. Can anyone give some feedback on the quality of their work. For anyone that has had this kit installed for over a year. How is it holding up? I know this is a add-on or overlay kit so I'm concerned of the overall fit and finish. Ideally I'd like to hear from the people that bought the 06-08 kit.

3. RSW- From past research it looks like these guys make the best quality overlay kit but unfortunately don't make an 06-08 kit. I've tried reaching out to vendors through the wanted ads but have gotten no response.

Any help would be much appreciated that way I can make an informative decision.

From what I have read RSW has the best quality but is very expensive. I have several pieces made by Tonester and I can only say positive things about his work. Having his work done on top of your OEM parts really gives it a clean look. As for EVO-R I have only had negative experiences. There parts are very cheaply made, do not fit the pieces they cover and there shipping takes forever. My recommendation is for Tonester.

I agree - Tonester wrapped my rear strut cover but unfortunately he can't get the resin to stick to the center console

Well, I have ordered the door arm rest pieces and the shift cover from EVO-R and have no issues at all. All three pieces fit over the existing OEM pieces and are holding up fine. Will buy other pieces from EVO-R when they become available.

Nice job... looks great!

I've considered this option but I'm looking to match other interior pieces that I've had CF wrapped.

I was hoping that RSW made a kit for 06-08. We almost had a GB with Visionary Racing about a year ago but we could get enough people

Talked with a body shop that is local very good guys have been around for about 45yrs and the guy said I should paint it the same exterior color I have. Thinking of going that rout. Since he is doing a few scratches for me that are to deep to wet sand he will paint the parts for me. Best part of all it will not cost that much 60 more bucks for the labor. Now I know this is being done as a favor I am sure other shops would do it to.

Anyone know if this is that EVO-R guy?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-08...item5639d1b68d

I'm in the same boat. I cannot find anyone to make the CF parts for me locally. I was going to buy from EVO-R until I saw a couple of threads regarding his product quality and customer service.

I bought a bunch of stuff from Evo-R: communications isn't his best trait, but he will always respond and always deliver. As for his products I've purchased:

Mines lip 06: top notch: fits like OEM.

Blitz spoiler: top notch fits like OEM.

06 CF interior: about 5 out of 10 rating. From outside of the car, the large center console looks great, but near the radio, and climate controls, it fits like crap, and the cut around the radio is off. The hand rest CF pieces are awesome though, the weave and clear coat is good. Keep in mind, I just purchased this within the last 30 days, so its not like I bought this a very long time ago. I'm pleased enough to keep it, but not enough to ever recommend this kit to anyone else.

Bottomline, I would not hesitate to buy from him, and I would not hesitate buying his other products, but I would stay away from the CF kit.

with EVO-R stuff, you need to get a stronger 3M double side tape from AutoZone to make it stick better. Get the wide one too. The one he included doesn't stick for crap. I got mine 2 weeks ago and loved it!
