I did mine myself a long time ago by figuring it out from Acree's posts however there have been good write ups since then for better understanding.
This is a lot of work and you needed decent soldering skills. It's easy to screw this up and the gauge cluster cost around $1000 combined. I did take into consideration doing these for other people however it's more work than I would want to do again and I don't want to screw up $1000 in parts on someone else's car - the cost of replacing these would heavily offset any profit to be made. And I've never messed with the AC controls on the newer models - it appears to be more of a PITA.
I say get a decent soldering gun , experiment on useless stuff , then get the leds and go to town , should not cost you more than a couple of hundred $ to DIY. OR you could try and contact one of the folks in the previous links to see if they will offer their services , I do know that Acree has stopped doing it but who knows...

For your steering while - you said it's an 03 model - but they didn't come with the left side stop/play/next/previous etc buttons.
Did you use a 06+ steering wheel or you bought all of the components, opened up the steering wheel, put in the new panels, etc etc.

I do remember I had to mess with the wiring a bit but I'm also running these controls to a control box that then controls the alpine head unit.
Thanks!
Question - if you remember your stock radio would do control wires plug and play with the REGULAR radio NOT the BOSE radio?
I have to unplug one of the fm/am/radio plugs and put the other one in there?
Thanks.

Yeah I just got the components (two side brushed alum peices) opened up the wheel and put in the new gear - and their you go , just like an 06.

The stock radios prior to that will not work with the audio controls that I'm aware off. Plus there is no harness for the extra wires coming from the radio controls on the wheel. Basically I plugged the cruise/audio controls into the wheel (same plug there) but the plug on the other side connected to a small harness is for cruise only... I had to run my own wires up to that plug and mount them in - then routed those to a control unit for after market stereo..
