Talking Blue Led Interior Conversion Finished

Well, I finally finished this project. I have been researching the gauges, leds, resistors and components for over 4 months. After finally organzing everything and ordering the correct parts, I was able to finish the interior in blue. Every switch, gauge, and button are now blue. The needles, obviously, remain the stock red color as well as all warning lights. The gauges themselves were a very difficult matter to deal with. After months and months of trying to find a company that made gauge faces for the 350z with clear lettering, I finally got in contact with Alex at BlackCatCustom.com. His company is now able to offer ANY gauge face combination you can dream of, including a wide assortment of face coloring, font coloring, and font choice. For my personal faces, I ordered white faces with silver lettering. This allowed the blue led color to shine through untainted, which is a major issue with the stock gauge face. Feel free to ask any questions or post comments. I have also taken pictures of every resistor that needs to be replaced, and I will soon have a complete parts list for those of you who wish to do this yourself. Enjoy

yeah, the picture is taken with a slow shutter speed (no flash) so the lights will appear brighter than usual.

I wish I knew how to do all that. I really want to change the LEDs in my G35 to white ones.

I could probably modify those also.

Actually, I don't know how to modify the shutter speed on this camera. It's my room mates. I just turned the flash off. The camera just doesn't do this mod justice. But in all honesty, the leds are freakin bright! I found myself dimming them while driving back home the other night.

You might want to talk to a guy named AccordFreak. He did his g35 in blue a while ago.

Yeah I did all of door switches in blue. I will have pics of those, plus the resistors you need to buy to run them at the correct voltage. Also, if you look carefully, I replaced the green led in the homelink to blue. Everything but the needles and the stereo display is blue. I didn't worry about the stereo display because there is over 30 connections holding the lcd to the board. I will be replacing my stereo in the next year or so anyways, so I figured I could live with it.

Hopefully I will be able to find white/clear needles out of a wrecked lexus or something. I want to run blue needles. I don't like all of the different colors. Here's a few more pics. Parts list coming soon! I just need to find time between classes.

You can also see how clear the font is in the last picture.
