Got mine today...not to short, not too stubby...like a mini version of stock

 

What brand, model, lenght is your shorty?

 

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up of a cheap option to replace the stock antenna (fishing pole) that is 16 Inches long.

I found this online,.. and it's somewhere in the forum I believe, but this price was unbelievable for it shipped.

Shipped, GM part .. Think it came on the "Avenger" .. was $3.11. Three bucks for a very nice "mod" if you will.

Reduces the antenna height by half,.. and has a nice shape and contour.

The *Base* of the new 7 inch antenna,.. I know people who care to change little stuff like this want it to look right. The base matches up exactly like the stock one did.

I bought this off Ebay, .. as a Genuine OEM part .. and it came from a Chevy dealership. Can't find the link for the $3.11 cent price.. but here is one for $4.xx -- And they are easy to find elsewhere, and at the dealership they don't go for more than 3-8$ depending on where you go.

I know this has been talked about in length on the forum,.. but I thought this was a particularly good idea, and an easy, definitely affordable, and 3 second modifcation anyone can do to help the appearance of the 350z just that little bit.

If curious about radio reception,.. Oddly enough it's better than my stock antenna was/is. Go figure.

 

that's very strange that a mopar part came from a chevy dealership… Even more strange is the fact that I went to a dodge dealer and asked for a 07 avenger antenna mast and they gave me this crappy rubber antenna that had a spiral arrangement… it didn't look anything like the other avenger antennas that were posted on this thread. I'm pretty picky so I rejected the part, guess I'll have to go in with this part number.

 

Yeah, that's the reason I put the picture of the part number in.. I know how tricky is can be to get the right part by trying to describe something.

I'd just go order it off ebay myself.. for the convenience,.. but dealership works as well.

 

Anybody have experience with blox mini antenna or any other aftermarket antennas? Really curious about reception

Acura RDX antenna and never look back.

 

I got the agency shorty antenna from concept z performance. Smaller than the ones above and reception is perfect. never had any problems. Highly recommend.

Ordered my 2" shorty antenna from eBAy. Type in "Short Billet Black Anodized Mini Stubby Antenna". Free shipping and cost $12.99. Recepetion isnt as strong on a few local stations BUT I listen to iTunes 95% of the time so this was for looks, not functionality.
