I stopped by the Nissan dealer on my way home from class today, and i asked the service guy about any seat options i have for my enthz and her cloth seats. Turns out nissan has a whole host of aftermarket seat covers in leather. I wanted a full burnt orange but that isn't an option, they do have black leather with "Pumpkin" inserts, so i figure that may look cool, but they didn't have any pics. I was wondering if anyone has them installed or knows where i can find some pics before making a deciding.

Ps if your interested they also have all black, black and frost, or black with red insterts.

Im looking for pics, they didn't have any... as far as prices go it was 800 and change for the whole interior, which basically included both seats.. not too shabby, the catch lies in that they are covers, not whole seats, so you would have to remove the cloth and put these on. The service guy said the removal of the seat cover isn't hard, just some plastic clips. I wonder if it intails something with the zippers on the back too...

I just wish they had pictures.. if anyone has some that would be great

2 much for me. Installers normally charge between $200-350 to install leather seat covers.

2 much in my opinion for just 2 seats.

 

You need an install kit to install leather seat covers, and they are not cheap.

 

ya guess Katzkin is the way to go.. the only question is which is closer to burnt orange, the "orange" or "Maize".. also i don't see 350z as an option.

There is a full burnt orange "nissan approved" dealer added upgrade available. My dealer tried to sell it to me, but I went with black instead. I friend of mine got it added at the dealer. It even has the Nissan emblem on the back of the seat.

the dealer most likely has an arrangement with a local interior shop to make leather seat covers... not likely a Nissan part, just something that is made for the Z... like the Katzin covers.

Many dealers will do this... costs them a few hundred to get the work done, then they charge the buyer $800 or more (I've seen one that wanted $1500 for leather seat covers).

I bought my black leather with blue ultrasuede seat covers from John at 350Zforums... the shop he uses is in Arlington, Texas that has been putting leather covers on 350Zs for a dealership in Arlington. The shop is called Leather Trim Ltd.

The covers and the installation at the shop by Josh and his crew at Leather Trim cost me $650... both seats.

My understanding is that the dealer leather is Katzkin. There is a member that was selling them for under $500. ATD1, that's who I got mine from. You can get logos embroidered and the seperate panel can be whatever colors you want, or whatever material as they offer suede too.

 

go to atd1.com and get some CST seats from James. I got them for $480, they are the black with burnt orange inserts, an exact match to Nissans burnt orange. They werent hard to install either. Katzkin orange does not match nissan burnt orange, only CST has a match. Called pumpkin i think

 

what exactly do you mean by cst seats?
