Depends on what you like but the most popular is flat black or satin black. Some say the flat is to dry looking. I just did mine this past weekend its actually not hard at all just time consuming. The worst part is after you bake the headlight prying them open. Not that difficult just thinking wth am i doing. Becareful with the tape on reflective surfaces it comes right off when you peel it off. Over All easy process just time consuming because of the wait time between layers(I chose to use a primer)

You should search around and see the difference. I did mine and have some pics in my other thread, I did satin black. Personally, I think flat, satin, matte, and semi gloss are all the same.

check out some sites of companies that do 350 lights for some ideas
saw a magnetic black Z with the headlights magnetic black color matched - looked amazing. also saw the magnetic black headlights on a white Z and was equally impressed.

thats a great idea! but does it require special paint or regular car paint will be fine during the baking process?

Flat black can look dry to some people and I personally think high gloss looks ricey/blingy.

Semi gloss is a nice middle ground ;]
