My homemade 07 jdm led sidemarkers......
So last week I purchased the jdm sidemarkers to match my jdm tails. When I got them i thought about putting lights/leds inside, but didn't want the "rice" look so I knew i needed to be clean about it so it would look stock and the leds wouldn't be seen when they were off. Also wanted to use amber stock looking leds. Heres what i came up with.
First i got these leds from my buddy that works at whelen engineering. These are 4 amber leds in one housing and im planning on using 5 of these in each sidemarker.
Next I put my brand new jdm sidemarkers in a toaster oven at work(i was worried).
Didn't get a picture of the sidemarkers when i got them apart but once i did i found myself with 3 pieces, the mounting portion, the actual reflector and the cover. I now cut the mounting part in the middle long enough for the 5 leds and then placed leds in and hot glued them in the mounting part and also glued the reflector and cover back on.
I wired them up to the parking lights and installed amber parking light bulbs. But anyway let me know what u think.
