lol whatever dude. I've got the half carbon Blitz on my car now that I didn't even take a new pic of. Here is a reenactment of me walking up to may car every day from behind.

 

JDM tails are legit tail lights...not some cheap sh*tty knock off like a few others. People that dont like mine I just ignore...you should do the same.

 

Its because the JDM wannabe fanboys here associate them with the PepBoys junk Honda ricers slap on their cars. Nothing much more than that. Sure there will be people who do not prefer them, but around here it's more of a psuedo-elitist mentality that our cars are too good for replica body kits and wheels other than Volks or Works.

I dont think its bcs they look like knockoffs or what not. I think its bcs they stand out too much for taillights taking focus away from the rest of the car. Thats why im not a fan of those modified headlights, just too much. I will say those jdm taillights look pretty good with dark tints. Just my .02 everyone has different taste A lot of people hate on my stretch tires but as long as i like em...

I like them, I have them I also tinted them to tone the "brightness" of them down.

 

dont like them, dont hate them. just kind of meh. i like the usdm led's best.

john and zerafian are of the few that i have seen that pulled it off well IMO.
might be the other accessories that help compliment it.

 

Just not a huge fan. I think these things are just a craze that'll die out like the "Autozone special" spoilers did.

Some colors seem to be able to pull them off alright (PPW for example). But on darker colored cars, clear tails just look washed out and junky to be completely honest. Just like clear side markers look like trash on some cars.

I have the altezza-style OEM tails on my 5.5 gen Maxima. They're...meh. Let's just say if I could find a set of 2001 tails for my Max for a good price, I'd swap them out ASAP.

 

Well this isn't just the internet it's a Z owners board. I value their opinion. I purchased the lights knowing they were not popular on here if that makes you feel better.

 

Some people like black cars... some people prefer red, others white, etc. I've seen cool cars others thought were ugly, and ugly cars others thought were cool.

What you're asking in the OP is why some people don't like them. May as well ask why some people don't like broccoli. (I like broccoli - why doesn't everyone?).

Slap those on with some gold wheels and slap a lot of stickers on your windows and your set to go!
