I see on here that pretty much everyone will say something about the clear tail lights or altezza style. I'm not really sure where this is coming from. I bought mine because I thought they would look perfect for my color and I think they even look better in person. Seems this might be a bandwagon type mentality because I have never thought seeing a change of a tail light would ruin the look of a car. On the other hand some of the body kits I see on here to me look terrible and ruin the look of the car way more then a set of lights ever could. Not all of them by any means but some are way over the top.

Yes that is my car below and I just can't see how anyone would think that isn't a better look for my color car. I mean it's the exact same light as the stock except for the lens. Not trying to start an argument just trying to figure out what the dislike is. These things cost more than some of the replica body kits lol.

For the record I have never changed lights on a car besides the Z so I'm no altezzza fanboy

 

I like them. As long as you don't get the tails with the bump on them you're good. I actually want to get the same ones for my DBZ as I feel they flow better since the only red part of the car are the tails at the moment.

1. They look good
2. They look bad

The other ones are those fugly things on EBAY mostly that don't seal properly and have humps and weird light patterns on them.

This thread is subjective. Don't try to argue with everyone who doesn't agree with you. In my opinion they only look good on PPW.

 

It's personal preference. So there are tons of individual reasons...

I don't like them for two reasons:
1. Chrome coated plastic never looks as good as real chrome. When the tails are so shiny they grab my eye and I instantly think of the ricer phase from 2003. Where everyone had the craziest clear tails.

2. The Z is a sports car which generally doesn't have chrome on it.

But if you like them, then enjoy.

And OP, I totally agree with you on the body kits! There's are loads of Fugly kits for our rides, but to be fair, when someone sports an ugly one, they get bashed hard too.
