Jun since you seem to be quite knowledgable on the subject I found this conversion kit on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2442761110

it seems to have everything and for 349.00 which is a great deal.

my question is do you think my dealer would install the HIDs for me? or they wouldn't mess with it?

i don't think the dealer will install it for you because it is aftermarket. And i wouldn't get those because they are 8300k, which is pretty blue, meaning you won't be able to see as much as if they were 4300k or 6000k. They are going to look REALLy blue.

If you need anything else just le me know.

Gawd is that an awful abuse of eBay or what???

WTF? 8300K? Yeah, it will be so blue it will look like you're scuba diving in the Caymans...

What a crock - all the "supporting evidence", charts, graphs, etc. and it's not even an auction really - just a sham to sell crap.

Love the red text warning about don't buy Phillips Aftermarket - "those posted are either used or stolen" - what a lame way to sell an overpriced product!!!

i PM'd you about it.

Try to get in touch with Adrey a.k.a "zred" (username). I bought my kit from him, it was from a used Audi TT. He's local too (Pembroke Pines). I went over, tested them to make sure everything was fine, everything was great.

If you need anything let me know.

Does the aftermarket HID distribute the light evenly like the stock HID? I'm asking because on my previous car my aftermarket HID did not distribute the light evenly, but for a 350z it might be different. If anybody have the aftermarket HID on their Z please let me know the results. Thanks

So what would happen if you put D2S's in there? Will there be a little glare, or alot? You are right, they SHOULD be D2R's, but I can get a deal on D2S's . . .

Yes it would work, but you wouldn't want that kit. See the tinted bulbs? BIG NO-NO!
Also, no 6000K bulb puts out 3500 lumens as the auction states. That is a second rate setup. That kit would not last - only trust Phillips or Osram bulbs - buy your kit Here

well put - even the replacement aux/fog lights in my Dodge Ram Hemi are 4300K, very white/blue, and intense - 80W per lamp. At 6000K you're just trading appearance for output - no likely what you want. If "blue" vs. intense "white" is what you want, fine, but not for me - 6000k is too low output.

Another source for Phillips and Osram Bulbs is : http://www.suvlights.com/ It's a poor name choice, not an "SUV" store. Their FAQ's section is really good, and they do Phillip and Osram at good prices for a DIY kit if you need a mix of parts.

For example their LVQ212 ballasts at $150 a side, plus D2's at $280 are a little more than HID-online's kit at $500, but you can customize what you're looking for.

The have excellent prices on Halogen Bulbs in the "super-white" category from the same manufacturers that do "Sylvania" and "Hella", see:

Yes and no. Technically yes but you don't want it. Their facts are all screwed up, the light is way too high in the blue range. Their pitch is enough -

"You always want the best lighting for your car, here we bring you the best HID conversion kit, although it costs more, it will worth very penny you spend after you have it in your car. Make your car stand out in the night! Buy it now!
Satisfaction Guaranteed! We only offer the best HID conversion kits."

Yeah, maybe your car will stand out in the night, but can you see where you are going...I would not put this kit in my Z even if the output was 4000k range - it looks like expensive junk to me. $300 is a good "price" but their kit looks pretty sketchy.

I've never been unhappy with the products from Phillps and Osram -" Osram Sylvania is one and the same company, within the US they use both Osram and Sylvania, outside the US its Osram..."

Also check out the companies than S&O sub out to - some good stuff there.
