Default Stock Seats are bothering me... Sugestions?

I drive alot for my work, this past weekend 650+ miles. The stock seats are seriously bothering my sides and have become very unconfortable for long drives. I'm not big or anything like that, waist is 32, chest prob 42 or so. I'm looking for a replacement, something that would be comfortable for long drives but still sporty/bucket like seats.

Any sugestions?

Thanks

you're going to get 11 answers if you ask 10 people - best thing you can do is start finding locals with aftermarket seats and see how you feel in them. While it is advised you do it in a Z to get the most out of it, even in another car will give you a good idea. "Comfortable" is far too subjective

I know a local guy has a set of Corbeau seats in his Z that are very nice, he was having lower back trouble with the stock seats and is super happy with the new ones. He told me the model but I can't recall, i'll see if I can find out for ya.

good god no...

The seats are bothering me in the ribs area on both sides. I can still feel it even today after the long drives this weekend.
I was thinking maybe those wide "Bride" seats but they are way expensive...maybe the knock-off ones off ebay as a last resort if i can't find anything affpordable. Problem is I'm in VT, not really a hotbed for tunner sport cars so i doubt i can find peeps to try they're seats. The most you see is some broke down getho civic with a giant spoiler...

Do you have cloth or leather? My cloth seats in our 05 suck for long trips and the leather in my 03 is just fine. I'm 6'1 with a 32 inch waist and 40 inch chest.

How are you driving , are you leaned way back with the wanna be pimp lean to the rt or properly sitting in the seat?

Sometimes when a man get s married he becomes soooo very WHIPPPED & actually loses hos spine and as a result is not able to sit in ANY seat without becoming tired and sore. While the idea of new Brides or Corbeau's sounds like it will work, in theory. The real solution would be to grow a pair and put the little lady in her place and eventually the spine will begin to grow back and the Z will again become your throne.

While this may not be what happened to you, i am just offering some insight, this has also been know to happen to single men with pushy GF's also.

If this isn't your situation just ignore this post.......

Good ruck fellA

Another question.

Is tehre a sensor in the stock seats that feels that somebody is sitting to turn on the air bag? The Lancer I had before had that. If there is what happens when you put aftermarket seats? Are there any other issues i should be aware of when swaping seats?
