damn Phreak. I hit a deer and achieved 7K n damage. Im getting my car back in 30mins after a month. I even let my Bodyshop guy go to the beach for a week without him touching my car. He had to repaint whole car plus shave wiper install door/window etc. i hope with how long ur cars been n and not even seeing the paint booth it will b worth it

Yeah, me too. The big downtime was one of his guys quitting after his mother passed away. He was in the middle of bodywork and the car ended up sitting for 3 weeks while he looked to hire a new guy.. Not to mention he got backed up with other cars that were already there. This is a small family owned shop, so I kinda gave him the benefit of the doubt. he's also a family friend so I wasn't all like "Come at me bro!"
I'm just happy to get it back.

Don't worry, my Seibon is off on one side. I tried adjusting the fenders and hood itself and it didn't help. I shaved all my emblems like you're doing and I bought a Tommy Kaira badge with the intention of using it, but I used some body tape to mock it up onto the car and I really don't want ANY emblems at all. It all just looks so clean without any emblems.
And don't stress it Phreak, I've been out of a car since the 31st of may because someone backed over my front end. Mines finally gonna be done by next saturday. I'm sure your going to appreciate the quality. The biggest wait time was for parts for me, but I'm just as scared as you to rush a body/paint guy lol. Because if it ends up bad, you don't want him blaming it on you rushing him! Good luck man, can't wait to see the end result!

THAT SUCKS!!!!
I know exactly how you feel! My car has been in the shop since May. I havent posted a progress build thread like yours, because there wouldn't be much pics due to no progress. Car has been in since May and only now, bodywork has finally been done, BUT STILL NO PAINT!!!! I feel your pain

my car was in the paint shop for over two months when getting resprayed. one thing i've learned is that you never want to rush them. just let them take their time.
Can't wait to see it done.

Lol all of us are in the same boat with the 2 months thing. Well
1 month was just waiting for parts for me, but hey man look at the bright side, he could've rushed it and tried to finish before he went on a vacay! That would've sucked! I'm sure he was planning this for a while before ur car came in anyways. Keep your fingers crossed for flawless work, and if it doesn't happen....then unleash the beast!

if the paint shop is working on your car everyday , that means it's a slow shop. Most good shops will have tons of insurance work come in and they have to work on those first because there are deadlines since some rent out cars and stuff like that and most insurance companies do a picture updates for their clients now.
For the people who are doing custom work, you have to be worked around that.

My body kit installation was not considered high priority at my body shop compared to the insurance work they had to do. When a body shop like mine gives you an estimated date of completion, expect it done at least a week or two later.
Hope you get to drive yours before summer ends.
