w00t! After removing several parts, measuring clearance with ***** of clay, and spending 2 hours cutting out the glued in splash tray with a Dremel, I find out it was the HOOD PROP that was holding it up!!
Still needs side to side adjustment and I plan to shim the top lip of the bumper that the bolts go through to close it up even more. 10,000x better though!
Still need some tips on mounting the grills...

Cool paint job but it still looks mostly purple to me. The front bumper is a love it or hate type thing and I can't say I'm in love with it. Overall though, the car is executed nicely and looks like it was done right. Glad you got your car back, now go out and enjoy that thing.

Hi Phreak, car looks amazing and bet your glad to get it back!
I did a grill for someone the other day and used Zip Tie Cradle Mounts http://www.google.com/products?hl=en...ed=0CDIQrQQwAg
Make sure you wipe the inside of the bumper with disk brake cleaner to remove as much crap and grease / oil and then stick the mount on (they normally come with a sticky tab on them.
The place the grill centrally over the hole, and gently bend the sides, so it holds on its own, then do the same along the top and bottom edge. Once it looks all fine make the edges more perminant and fold the corners, then put the zip ties through the mounts and tighten. May be best to start putting the zipties on on the edges and work back to the centre...
Hope that makes a bit of sense!! I should have done a howto with pics!!
