Default led's in top corner of 06+ headlights...

alright, so i've done some searching, and i have everything coming together to paint, put in the clear sti lens, and do the halo mod... now i just want to get the parts together for the top led's before i open up the headlight to make it a quicker process.

are they regular led's or what kind of style are they.... not worried about resistors and whatnot... have many places close for those...

thank you very much for the help! i'll have pics up next week after a couple days off... work everyday til then

also doing the door handle led's, and the door panel reflectors... and installing a sick set of reflector led's that FLiPPER_Z made me... so it's going to be a very nice (busy) couple of days amazing before and afters to come

194's. I had originally gotten the focused lense which was ok, but i wanted something a little brighter when looking at the car from an angle so i switched them to the oval wide angle lense. Also, the oval lights look more white like the xenon headlights (although still a little off) but it works.

I don't think those plug in leds are what the ops talking about. I believe he's talking about the ones that you cant get to unless you take the headlights apart at the top corners of the headlight assembly. I can't answer your question. I didnt change mine out, If I had though I would have gotten rid of the small circuit board in there and ran new wires and leds. It would be very hard to desolder the old leds out and solder the new ones in.

thanks for the input so far... yeah, i'm talking about the four in the top corner of the headlights... from one pm i got, it's regular leds... so i'm going to get 8 blue ones, and go for it... if it ends up being different, i'll figure something else out... i'm thinking of just running wires from the parking light system to those 4 leds, and bypass whatever circuit is mentioned here... if anyone else has any info, by all means, hit me up... i work solid until mid next week, so i'll have pics up then

and it's kind of funny to be on this end of the dumb responses... funny to see people comment on how to read the post... but honestly, i appreciate any info!

So packages showed up today... was actually worried that time wise nothing would come together... the clear lenses showed up, as did the angel eyes. ... couldn't be more excited right now... so I have one day off, tomorrow, then work one, and have 2 off... so I think I am going to try to get the bumper off, and the headlights apart tomorrow.... was torn on satin black or gloss black... but I think satin for me... have about 150 leds coming from mouser.com.... so as soon as they get here, I'm in complete overhaul mode.... no worries, it wont look like a Christmas tree... just accented. Anyways, still looking for more advice on the 4 corner leds, so any help is appreciated!

They are not your typical 5mm LED. They look like they are specially made for that little housing. If I was to replace them again, I would use these http://www.oznium.com/prewired-surface-mount-led good luck.

not sure what to think of them now that i'm in the headlight... have the halo's installed, the clear lens... and now theres paint drying... but as far as those led's i'm going to hit up radioshack in the morning, and see if they have any ideas... i cut down some predrilled circuit board to match the shape, but trying to get the led's spaced out right might be the tough part... and getting the resistance right...
