Default New CF Vented hood.

Theres a new Vented hood available for the Z. It looks almost like the Hasemi hood. Its available from SEIBON at www.seibon.com

Its still not at their website but you can call them and ask about it. It got released at SEMA.

Heres some pics I took of the Hood with my Z at SEMA.

Thanks Cheston,

heres the pic you have requested. Its just painted flat black on the under side of the hood with the stock hood's skelton support structure still present.

Retail should be around 750 dollars. Im guessing this from thier price on their S2k Hood.

Its a Veilside Ver 1 in CF. The canards (side pieces) are made by my friend whos an expert in CF. He did my trunk enclosure as well. PM me if you want a set.

Fitment is perfect. Oh, off the box the vents are sealed with 2 plastic pieces (one for each side) which is screwed to the hood. You have the option to remove it or keep it. I decided to remove it as recomended by Cheston coz the Turbo makes everything run a bit hotter inside the engine bay and the vents are actually serving their purpose. I just hope it doesnt rain.

from what i remember (coz I still dont have the car up to now) so I cant be sure. It was a full CF hoof and the skeleton was in fiber glass. Im saying this coz that thing was so darn light and it almost needs hood pins. A lot lighter than stock.

i know it might look ghey, but i HIGHLY recommend hood pins .... i wouldnt want you to be on the road testin' the TTs and have the hood flip up and smash the windshield -- its happened b4 to my friend... scary!!!

also.. you said its skeleton was FRP, do you know how many layer CF they used for the hood? i.e. can you see light thru it?

well if the underside is a 'skeleton' of FRP then he might be able to see the CF in the light..but if it lays the entire underside then he wont be able to see( and from the pic it seems as though he wont be able to)...he prob wont need pins...cause the stock latch is very stroing
