Where to buy black, urethane grill mesh?
I have truly looked high and low for this type of material to use. I intend cutting it to size in order to fill the space where my factory grill used to be. I had a supplier willing to sell me a big enough sheet of the exact material I want, but he has not followed through.
I'm looking for plastic, and am sort of shying away from using powder coated black. But I might have to if you all can't help.

I have looked at both of those stores. All they carry is the gutter guard metal mesh. At least around here.
If you can tell me what you think (if you can remember) they marketed the material as, I'd appreciate it.

i am totaly down w the responses to this. The aluminum mesh on most kits doesnt hold paint for sh#t... its the one thing on my car that always looks like crap unless it was freshly repainted... One thing to think of if you cant find mesh that looks good is to ebay yourself a billet grille from an old truck and cut it to size... sounds like a drag, but its not that bad...if you have a large opening, try a grille for an 84 Chevy fullsize truck, theyre flat and huge and about 100 bucks shipped.
In fact in the search for a grille for my Veilside V3 front ( for an all black billet grille) I found a few for Ford fullsize trucks that are actually ABS plastic.... this can be heated and bent to shape easier if necc.... just some ideas if youre feeling handy.

Check with your local heating and air conditioning service people. It comes standard on some low-end heat pump outdoor units to cover the fins on the coils. They may let you take some off a dead unit, or they may be able to order some for you.
You can get aluminum Hexagon-Hole Perforated Sheets with 79% open area from McMaster-Carr. Cat # 92725T42 at mcmaster.com page 406 They also have plastic mesh by-the-foot on page 404.
The plastic mesh will have a lower % open area, and that might reduce the air flow into the radiator.

I did call McMaster, and it seems like the person I spoke with didn't know the catalogue very well. I was sure they'd have something, if anyone, but I appreciate the specifics of where to check.
