I can't help but wonder if someone jumped the gun on him not mailing it out. seemed like a real 2nd or 3rd priority to him. I pm'ed him after a week of waiting asking for an update and he mailed it out then haha. wonder if someone less patient got him banned for not communicating or shipping? I wasn't in any hurry myself.

mcnichols.com

1/2" or 1/4" steel hexagon mesh. it keeps large rocks from coming through and for the most part, the little ones too! i've had mine (1/2") on for about two years now. it does require some fresh paint now and then, but looks a lot better than the typcial diamond mesh found on every F150, 300 and Scion with DUBS

ok so im viewing:
http://www.mcnichols.com/ecommerce/e...navCode=cc:std
^^^however the item might be too thick to bend...or the opening might be off. I dont like how they require that you fill out the general info about yourself for a price quote for just a sheet...

Ill have to measure my cut out for my 06 stock bumper+ a little more in length and width. All the other links where around the $40 price range...I know how you guys hate ebay but:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVE...Q5fAccessories
I am strongly considering the item if it meets my demands in dimensions. The product appears* to be the same, and its the same amount for half the price.

What would you guys do? Im willing to take one for the team and provide feed back.
(By taking one for the team I meant purchasing ebay item, not scoring w/ a fat chick)

the expanded mesh isn't bad, but everyone has it!?

i was referring to the hexagonal wire-cut mesh. hexagonal as in stock looking for Ferrari and Lambo grills. another reason i went with that pattern specifically.

http://www.mcnichols.com/products/wi...hexagonal-mesh

they ask you to fill out a form because it's a legitimate business not to far from my work place. they deal with big volume, not little peanuts like us. i ended up ordering a 2'x4' piece for $70. cut it, bent it, painted it and bolted it inside my grill area. i even made some small inserts for my side markers, so it would all match. i also like it because it's steel and will stop most items on the road, like tire parts, car parts, small rodents

In an earlier post I mentioned used heat pump outside units as a possible source for the urethane mesh. Here's some pictures of some that came off the training units at the local tech school. They were going to toss it out, so I got it.

It's about 32" wide and 64" long. There's another piece from a larger unit that's probably about 80" long.

McMaster-Carr also has some other mesh styles then posted above.

The dimension is measured diagonally from corner to corner. It is priced per foot up to 50 feet by 48" wide. All these below use the same picture, but with a ruler and a pencil I am sure you could draw out the size to see if it is what you want.

.26 x .26 diamond molded plastic mesh
P/N:9314T33

.45 x.45 diamond molded plastic mesh
P/N: 9314T35

.68 x .68 diamond molded plastic mesh
P/N: 9314T36

After months of looking, I've found the black, urethane high-quality grill mesh I've been looking for, in the pattern I wanted. This guys are very nice, to boot. I hope they still continue to carry this material. LLTek is the name of their company.

Do you have any pictures of the mesh on your car? I'm considering getting some for my msa bumper as the openings on the original grill are too big for my taste.
