you still didn't get the lip yet??? you were expecting the lip at the last meet, right?? i got it through a friend in socal that has a hookup with someone. not sure of which store he got it from or if he got it directly from veilside.
Yeah, I was expecting it a few weeks back, but things fell through. The place I have it on order from said the shipment should be coming in after SEMA (which is happening now)... so hopefully soon.
I take it you're getting the lip painted silverstone. Can you let me know where you're getting it done (and how it turns out). Also, how much is the paint job costing you?

Nice. The wing was always made of urethane right? There have been a few posts about how difficult the installation and that the fit is poor. Looks like this isn't the case for you.
Who'd you get it from, and how much?

This is the first time that I've seen the urethane version. The previous posts, where owners have had problems with fit and finish, dealt with the carbon fiber version (or is it fiberglass with a carbon fiber look).
Hopefully, this urethane version is better. If so, I think I'll buy one!

the urethane is prob the easiest to fit because of its flexibility..looks good mgl...did you do the same thing to your grille as you did to your emblems?...looks good.anyway..are you painting the whole thing orjust the sides....looks really nice..might get that if my lip ever cracks

to answer everyone:
- painting the entire lip
- didn't install yet, just put it on for pics. but i don't think it'll be hard to install.
- my car is stock height
- got the lip for $280 shipped through a friend

I've liked the Nismo front bumper because of the lip but have been worried that I would just break it off hitting curbs or parking bumpers. I'm getting better at avoiding these but the small rubber dam still scrapes at times.
Maybe the flexible urethane would be less likely to crack than carbon or glass fiber.
Looking forward to the pictures.

The first shipments of urethane lips were available early Oct. Only 11, I've had it installed, painted and clear bra' ed for some weeks now. The car is at stock height currently and I have problems getting in my own drive way. Currently I have 2x6s in the gutter. I'm getting steel plates to bridge the gutter there but the problem is every day road driving, I get spooked going over ever speed bump and driveway.
Advise!!!!
Look ahead at all gutters, make sure it's not DEEP relative to the sides of the road, some drops may be as much as 6 in. That's minus 6"for your lip. Take all gutters as diagonally at possible, Seek the shallowest part of the dip usually against the curb side, be careful if you come off the curd the rear tires will cut in and you'll hit your back bumper or aero skirts(done that) as the rear tires leave the curd.
Seek flat driveways, If the rear of the car is higher then the front tires as in some hilly shopping centers the lip will be pointed down lower then, the bottom skirt lip.
Never assume you got into the driveway ok it 's safe the exit it the same way, alway look there may be a better way to get out.. If there is any question park it outside and walk to the destination. Bra,paint ,install and part. a little over $700 invested, I'll walk.
I love my lip and you will too, so take care of it.....

you paid $700 for the lip ??!!!!!
and thanks for the advice in regards to clearance height. i already tested the lip on my driveway and it seems like i have about an inch of clearance, so hopefully it'll be ok as long as i don't drive too fast. my only concern is my garage at work, the driveway and ramps to go to different levels are very steep. hopefully it should be ok though, my previous car (eclipse) was kinda slammed and i had to go really really slow and at an angle in order to clear.
