Hey guys i was thinking about selling my z today but my MOM smashed into it while reversing the buper needs to be changed and the hodd is crumpled and also the AC is blowing out hot air.(so much for the g35 coupe i was gonna get next week) I was wondering what buper should i get and what hood i wanted a carbon fiber hood but i cant find any. i would really appritiate it if you guys would recomend some kits and hoods i should get i sortof like the vertex body kit. and also im not really sure that a carbon fiber hood would look good on a Silver stone what do u guys think i was gonna paint it but im not so sure.

it is my understanding that at this point no 100% CF hoods have been released, so the weight saving isnt really there; if you paint them they lose all function, so Id personally say just get the stock hood, unless you want a design, then I think there are a few vented hoods out there.

bumper, thats a tough call, depends what you like; I like Cwest myself, but nismo is nice, all are good, just different strokes for different folks.

Id be more concerned about the AC, sounds like the radiator took damage or something.

green stuff? hmmm not good could be coolant. I forget what color it is now. green sounds possible tho...

 

You are correct, must have put a hole in the radiator...

 

Don't drive it...green is usually coolant...and also if your hood is damaged it could fly up on you while driving. I wouldn't be surprised if a cop pulled u over too if u drove it around..

I would also like to know which CF hoods fit the best at a good cost. Preferably the Fiber dremas OEM hood sold by 350forums.com.

 

on ebay they sell grade a cf hoods for 289 but dont know how good it is

 

Before you install a body kit and carbon fiber hood, make sure that you have decided to keep the car. If you are going to trade in your Z for a G35 coupe, I'd keep the car stock.

 

all of those CF hoods are overlays, you should also be sure that you want this hood 100% for asthetic reasons(you mentioned painting which makes me think you have other motives) if you want it for anything but appearance dont waste your money, they arent real CF, just overlays on fiberglass and the like.
