I have made mine using t6061 aluminum and am able to do brushed or polished aluminum. The perfect round **** is just one of the shapes i have made as well and they were for the 240sx crowd.

lol it kinda does look like Yoda's lightsaber. I really like the design, i have held back on getting a new shifter because i can't find a design that i like besides the TK **** but i'd really love to get my hands on one of these, and even more so if its heavy and shorter! (shorter at the base where the smooth part is)

Hey everyone OP here, I'm headed back to the shop today to try and work on one thats a little shorter and fatter. Thanks for all the input and ideas and black3.5z thanks for the heads up about the clear coat. I'm probably going to make one more out of aluminum before I switch to some kind of steel which would be a lot heavier but like I said once I've got the process down I would be glad to start selling them but I'm not sure about pricing at this point.

Hey VQ35deMax thanks for responding about the steel you used, we've got some heavy duty steel laying around that was used to make pins for roller coasters and that is what I would like to use once we have a program written up and can CNC the entire piece (no lathe). I'll try to see if I can figure out what kind of steel it is today at the shop but it looks really black.

Op here, update is that I have failed. We tried to get a few more made this weekend but we had some problems and nothing really materialized. I thought we had another month until my friends dad sold his factory but it turned out we only had till Monday morning before they started moving the equipment and materials. We spent 30 hours straight form Saturday to Sunday and 14 hours Friday the night before working on some other projects we have going and just ran out of time. Sorry to let everyone down but it seems like there are some other members in this thread that know what they're doing a lot better then I so if people wanted something unique you may want to talk to them. Thanks to everyone for the feedback, this forum is the JAM.
