Default Window sticking after tint

My window started sticking on me this morning, it wont roll up, and i dont want to force it and burn out the motor. Has anyone had this problem, i waited about a week befor rolling my windows down after the tint. Anyway i can tell what the problem is. I am still new to this whole car thing so be patient with me please- Malibu

Try tapping on the door with your fist as you try to roll the window up. If it goes up, you probably have a bad motor. I suspect the tint and the window roll up problem are not related and your motor has just gone bad.

well there, malibu, (mind if i call you malibu?) i assume you meant CAN'T (instead of can).

the only thing i can think of if the motors aren't screwed up is that they did a shltty job of applying the tint and may have gotten some tint onto parts other than glass.

did the window motor feel like it was about to give out before you applied the tint? sounds like you either applied wrong or didn't let the tint cure long enough

Sounds like your motor just happens to be going bad. Did both windows suddenly start sticking or is it just one?

^ maybe not in this case, but yes it is, ive seen it on other cars. over sized tint at the bottom which isnt really stuck on the window and is somewhat just "flapping around". the back end of that part of the tint is sticky and tends to stick to something down there whenever there is motion, until it clears/unsticks from whatever it sticks to.

No it started happening after a heavy rain in Arizona.... No problems with the motor, it gets about 1/4 the way up and rolls right back down, i have to grab it with my hand and help it up. The tint place i took it to is very well known around here, so i HIGHLY doubt it was them, just kinda convenient that it happened a few days after. I had just bought the car, but motors seemed to be fine rolling up and down....usually ill hear a strain or a slow roll up before motor gives, not the case here. I am kinda at a loss, im taking it to the dealership see if they can tell me anything, but i trust u guys alot more....lol...and id rather fix it myself and learn then hand my car over to some stranger. I fix million dollar aircraft daily....i hope a car is easier...lol
