Default Seat Covers

Getting a lot of wear on the upper part of the driver's seat where I slide across to get in the car. The foam is starting to show through. Anyone have a recommendation for seat covers that fit well and last?

Default Front seat of my 350Z wearing out. At 44K miles. WTF!

Just noticed the left side of my driver's side seat, where I slide into the car, is wearing and the foam rubber is showing. I have only 44K on his 06. What **** poor quality on a part of the car that gets constant use and should hold up. I have to get seat covers before this gets much worse. Anybody have a similar experience? Any suggestions on good quality seat covers? See neoprene advertised for some covers. Is it any good, comfortable and durable?

Those both seem little expensive. You can buy new seats for that price.

. . . if you're nuts enough to trust such junk in a crash. Or to be comfortable, but safety would be the major issue for me. I've had the Wet Okole covers in one of my Alfa Spider's for about 8 years and they still look like new, even after much sun exposure. A friend of mine has had a set in his 1998 Toyota 4-Runner since new, and they look great, too. Also, they're very easy to clean, and they're comfortable in hot weather (I'm in Florida).

Call the guys over at Performance Nissan, they have a Demo Z with a nice Leather conversion/cover for about $350-500. It looks so good most people think its factory leather. They sell the kit as well but I can't remember the name of the company.
