I can 2nd Krinkov's summary of the new CPfilm. I dropped my car off to get the front lip wrapped, and my installer ( mike@dyanshield.com) put a little piece on my car next to the currently installed 3m film. It was MUCH clearer with virtually no orange peel, unlike the 3m. Its definitely going on my next car, heck, I'm even considering have the black g35c redone in it, its so nice.

Krinkov... can you post a reflection shot showing half llumar and half unprotected to see how sharp the reflection is? <-- I think this makes sense.

....how much would it cost to have the 350z's front bumper covered w/ the Llumar film? is it also available for the front of the hood/whole hood?

My Nissan dealer is charging me $650 to do the entire front of the car, front of the side mirrors and about 6" of the leading edge of the hood. This was the price he quoted me for the original deal that was to be out of either 3m or clear shield. Since that did not work out he agree to do the Llumar installation for the same price but indicated that he was going to raise his prices based on the increased cost associated with the Llumar film---or based on what the market will accept.

Its hard to show with low-res pics, you have to see it in person to tell the difference between 3M/Venture/Avery

I'll get off my but and put two pieces on a black car next to each othe at some point and post them up to show the difference. And I still think the other films are just fine on most other colors, but on black or close to black Llumar is definitly the way to go

We service Northbay Nissan and they sell our installs for $895+$95 for headlghts, big mark-ups like this are typical at dealerships since it all gets financed and most people dont seem to mind the extra few bucks a month it equals out too, but just like everything else you can get from the dealership, it pays to shop around

Well, here is the latest on my quest to get the Llumar installed. the dealer has taken it to his 3rd party installer that is a Llumar installer in the KC area and I am not having a great deal of luck with this. He has tried twice to get in installed and each time I find orange peel, wrinkles, and occasional bubbles on the install. So, I keep taking it back for the dealer to try again. He gets the hood done fairly well and the top lip of the front end, but really has problems with the lower half of the front bumper. At some point I guess the dealer would get tired of me bringing it back but we will see. I sure wish there was a good installer in the Kansas City area that I could get me dealer to hire. Any ideas? I have already paid the dealer so that puts me in a position that I have to keep going back to him.
