silverstone paint match advice
ok, so long story short i hit a tire on the interstate and decided to deal with it myself instead claiming it on my insurance. so i dropped a new bumper off and a sheet with color code/color name/vin/etc.. at my trusted shop and everything went fine (he even repainted the grill black at my request cuz it was silver when i went to get it).
but now that i put it on i noticed that it doesnt quite match. in some light it looks damn close and other light the difference is obvious. it appears to be a shade or so darker. i didnt realize it was so hard to match silverstone til i did some more research after the fact. so what do you guys think? should i say something or just deal with it?
of course i want it to look perfect and im not the only one who sees the difference in person, but i also dont wanna be an overly picky PITA.

Nissan repainted my rear bumper and the match was not 100%... I say deal with it... I'm super picky about **** like that too, but i know silverstone is hard to match... Not to mention that paint will look different when sprayed on different surfaces...
How much did they charge you btw?

Yea I have the same color and I did the hood, front bumper, and Nismo V3 wing... its almost unnoticeable. It actually blended a little more now but when it was fresh you could tell, I say just leave it.
Looks like he didn't take the time to do a spray out.. My shop does spray outs before they spray the body parts. That way they get it as close as they can to the actual color. I would suggest saying something to them and ask to see the spray out sheets to see if they picked the right one or the closest one
im sure he didnt do a spray out cuz my car wasnt there. hes didnt see my car til i picked up the painted bumper. i definitely would have dropped the car off if i knew it was a hard color to match. thanks for the replies guys! i dont really wanna complain if its a common thing. i paid 300 for the paint job btw.
When I had my V2 bumper painted I had to leave my gas cap cover with the shop so they could match the paint. I got this tons of times, "Did someone steal your gas cap cover?" But in the end they did great job. Just a suggestion for next time

any time you paint a bumper it is made of a pralstic polymer and plastics typicaly start darker then say a metal fender so regardless it will almost always be slightly off unless the painter tweeks the color taking into consideration it will be darken on the plastic bumper.
ya know i thought alot about upgrading (06+ bumper was even a little cheaper) but honestly i like this bumper more. im sure im the odd man out on this one tho haha
i talked my paint guy, he said to bring it by next time im in town and have time but til then im not gonna worry about it. hopefully the sun lightens it up in the meantime.
