Default XM Antenna

Has anyone removed this before? Its the stock xm antenna on the roof, and I want to take it off because I ordered a roof cap. I know Calin made a thread about this, and no one replied, so he left it on, wondering if anyone actually took it off and how much work is involved. Thanks....

A search would have turned up this recent thread:

Sorry about that.

There WAS another recent thread that talked about removing the satellite antenna, and it showed the parts diagram and how there was a rather large hole in the roof for the connector to go through. The person who posted it was thinking about putting vinyl wrap on the roof, and he was worried about having a hole under the vinyl.

I think the end result was that you'd need to have body work done to keep the hole from showing through the vinyl, but a cap would work fine.

If you search with the right words you'll find it. It's probably in this sub-forum or in General.
