Question cost to program another key

Hi

I checked with the dealer to cut me a new key for my 08 350z, and they gave me a quote of $170-$200.
I have one key now, need another one.

Is there any other place who cuts & programs the key for cheap ?
Am looking for something in San Diego.

Thanks
s

You're not just buying a key, you're also paying to have all of them re-programmed. Your new and old keys all have to be done at the same time, IIRC.

I had to pay $225 a few weeks ago. There is no going around it.

bashing a newbs huh?

Op thats just Nissan being Nissan. The keys are expensive, so is the programing and its BS, but they are the only ones who can program them. I had to do the same thing awhile back.

Everybody has to help pay for those expensive Consult diagnostics systems.

You think Nissan is expensive - try dealing with Mercedes Benz.
