So as of today, hers where i am at:finally lol.

the turbo and all piping have eben smoothed and are now polished and sitting in my trunk.. the header fabricator is delivering the one off drivers side header w the modified third/top tube ( had to sit lower to clear the downpipe) and thats the main mechanical hold up. The rest goes back on pretty quick.

I bought GraffKids Uprev GTMaf, and the new AEM Tru Boost is now wired and installed inc the boost solenoid..

my RJM clutch pedal has been installed and they are ready to add fluid to the clutch as well.

And heres the drum roll..

it has an actual apoinment with Tony at UMS October 29th and 30th.

Crazy. That means no matter what, this car is going to start by then or just before then. WHEW!

Awesome news.. it aint over til its deliverd and driving right and sitting in my garage.. but this is still a huge step for a build that started June 16th, 2011.
An actual date slated w a tuner means they gotta stay in gear and get it going by then.. and i dont see any issue w that.
The dyno is a dyno jet as well im told and is a hub dyno, good ol heartbreaker, so my numbers will be very conservative for what they are.

Thanks to some of you for holding out and staying in the thread.. its been a proces thats taken me to hell and back, thats for sure.. Very simialr to Flo's situation, this car became a huge life problem, and Im very happy to be over the hump, past the pain ( for now at least, until i pop it lol), and have already moved on from the car.. actually getting it back and driving it will just be a treat now.. and since its no longer a car i will drive often, i can truly enjoy it for what it is.. and that is an automotive version of being wealthy yet separated legally from a supermodel wife that has a baby w you and has never had her own job..
i shal explain lol.

its great to look at, to be seen with, and to ride in and on lol... but at the end of the day, its dangerous.. its a nasty wh#re of a car that takes all my heart and all of my money and threatens to leave me at any given moment and still take half my sh#t lol.
Ah the glory of FI VQ life.. to all the newbs: You should like totally try it out on your cars! lol.
Awesome feeling

really? I was told they dont ahve any inertia from the drums rolling? I guess ill ahve to look into that at some point.. honestly as long as the car drives well w its tune, i dont care what the sheet says. I like numbers, but have never been that guy i guess.

the closer i get to 600 ( on the hgh boost map) the more traction issues ill have, and certainly more issues elsewhere too...and i doubt ill really be at that level w this clutch and this fuel system.
Im prefectly happy w 450 and 550 , low boost/ hi boost.
I certainly have tons of room to grow w the turbo i chose tho, thats for sure.

For some reason, still not holding my breath, but we shall see. Ill look on the bright side for now.

Id say knock on wood... but were far past that..lol. this car is like a high school chemistry experiment at this point..amusing and full of smoke, pops and alarming explosions ha.

hope all goes well, im not texting or buggin anyone on it until they call me lol.

its pretty surreal in fact to think that today I actually get a HP number , and not just that the thing runs etc. lol.

Insane.

I'm told the car started like stock, w no extra cranking sputtering or other BS, on the very first try.
heres the pic for proof lol.. yea right . Use your imagination lol.

That is indeed a good sign, and should let them really dig in and seat those rings comfortably.
