Default '06+ interior conversion

I got everything i need for the console conversion. I installed it perfectly. Turned the car on and the heater was blowing even though it was turned off. Not full, just enough to know it was on and making at least partial contact. I thought "DAMN: that junk yard sold me a bad Temperature control unit!"

In my haste, i got another one today that wasn't exposed to the elements. Low and behold; SAME ISSUE.

Has anyone done this successfully? The push-buttons work (defrost and A/C, but not open-air/recirc), but everything else seems jarbled. The only thing i can think to do is look for the wiring diagrams, but that'll be tedious to find and severely a PitA to wire.

Any help? A link? A walkthrough? I'm REALLY anxious to get this done; the console looks like crap with my old controls plugged-in and no shift bezel.

I'm open to calls/texts, just as long as they're serious and informative. Thanks, community!

typically the blower comes on like that if you forgot to plug in all the cables into that white box behind the shifter piece/below the radio. I think its 2 or 3 molex style and a ribbon cable.

the plastic between 2 of the pins is damaged, but my original '04 control works fine.

I tried disconnecting the box (3 harneses in back) but i saw it triggered my ABS light, so i said to hell with it and reconnected my old controls.

What's the white box called, in case i need a new one? I'm currently trying to get a pic of the ribbon to show in the orignal post.

So the '06+ controls are supposed to work without issue with the '03-'05 white box (amp) ?

iirc that white box also communicates with your main cluster as well.

dont disconnect any plugs to that box without disconnecting your battery first.

Thanks for the link. Now i @ least know what its called. I'm still trying to figure out why the '03-'05 control works fine (with exception of having to kink the plastic connector slightly to get the push-button LED's so show) and the '07 one does not.

I'm still open to ideas or a diagnosis.

Has anyone actually DONE this conversion? I'm being told alot of different things and idk what to believe. NissanUnlimited is telling me there's many different versions of the BCM or whatever it's called (I've stuck with "A/C amp)

Some experienced input would be greatly appreciated.

I did this swap and I have the same issue.. I asked to get a 06+ BCM but that costs 300$+... from nissan...

When i plug mine in, everything just gets messed upp.. it blows air on low, but when i crank it it doesnt..basically same stuff your having . I havnt worked much on it bc of the winter but if nothing works .. im going to fabricate the stock temp gauges from my 03 to the 06

Personally, that was #2 reason for me; i love the '06 dials compared to the '03-'05s. I'm still doing R&D on it, but i'm seriously shocked nobody else has chimed-in on this.

What i fear is getting an A/C Amp from an '06/'07 and finding the harness doesnt connect. THEN i'll have to get into splicing.....

You MUST change the AC amp ...white box behind *****...to the 06-09 one.
I have done the full conversion 3 years ago

And the '03-'05 harnesses fit the '06-'09?

The amp is plug 'n play with the correct **** assy.
It uses CAN communication I believe.
There are other differences on the complete harness between the years.

I'm trying to talk the junkyard I got the controls from to let me have the amp for cheap. It came from an automatic '07 convertible. How specific does the amp have to be?
