Default A question regarding the Mastergrade TS rear diffuser.

Hi,

I was wondering if the diffuser causes any issues with the reverse parking sensors on the car?.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I checked with Mastergrade before I bought my diffuser. They still make them, but they're made to order. And knowing their reputation, they'll probably just take your money and you'll never hear from them again.

Hahaha thanks for the info. I have an 03' track spec and it has the parking sensors as standard. I haven't really had a look for the sensors so I've no idea where they're located or even what they look like. There's a place called showstoppers who apparently still stock the diffuser. Has anyone dealt with them before?.

Ya you might want to do a search on them on this forum. My advice would be to stay away. Way too many people on here got screwed by Showstoppers.

Thanks for the heads up. I've just ordered the c-west carbon front lip and Frp sideskirts, the diffuser will finish the look nicely but the top secret version is cripplingly expensive. $3k including shipping is a little steep.

$3k?!?! I believe the diffuser itself is $1000-1200. How much is shipping?

Genuine TS diffuser is about $2500 NZD excluding freight which equates to $2100 USD. The parts I've orederd already are costing me about $700 NZD in shipping alone, but they are genuine. "over night parts from japan" j/k. The guy I spoke to at show stoppers told me they had the part in stock and including shipping it'd be about $1100 USD which is about $1500 NZD. But now I'm a little concerned about the feedback theres been about them and mastergrade. I need that diffuser in my life! Lol

The problem is that shipping companies charge by package volume as opposed to weight when the boxes are that size. Criminals.

main question is... where are your reverse sensors located? are these factory or aftermarket installed?

if they are anywhere ABOVE the rear bumper line next to the exhaust then you should be ok. double check with your own car with images of other people's installed diffusers.

ie. here is my authentic TS one installed.

Thanks Chebosto, that looks beautiful and my Z is the same color.

I located the sensors a couple of days ago. They were staring me right in the face haha. What I thought were bumper bolt covers (like they have on euro's) turned out to be them. Made me feel like a dumbass tho haha.

Did you have any issue with fittment with the aftermarket exhaust?
