Sounds dangerous? One more thing to splinter and cause harm in an accident - heaven forbid a rollover.

I'll guess the noise inside the interior is quite a bit louder, too. I drove one of my cars (BMW) once w/o the headliner when I was having it re-covered, and it was very different, not in a good way. I think the soft OEM headliner does a lot of sound deadening.
