Default Lowering Stock seats?

hey guys, i have couple of free weekdays so i'm deciding to do little mod.
Are there DIYs for lowering the stock seats on 350z? I remember seeing one DIY on G35 but that waz long time ago..can't find it anymore.
I'm not tall enough to touch my head to the roof but the reason i want to lower the seat is because i feel more comfortable and safe seating close to the ground; my body being not so much exposed through the window. I would really really wish the seat is 1~2 inches lower.
If anyone got DIY, please share with me.

I had to take my drivers side seat rail into a shop and had them cut 1" out of the rear of the rail. Much better now.

I've been thinking of a way to lower my seats as well. I am only 5 10, but have a longish torso. I can't sit as straight up as I'd like while on track with a helmet on....I am forced to scrunch down a bit. Probably take a look at it if we get a warmer day here in the Mid-A.

I will probably do one if I do, but I won't half *** it....meaning there will be cutting/welding, etc. I can't see any way around it....just as an FYI. Then again...I haven't really taken much time to look at it...

You can see here that I am a bit scrunched up: Honestly I would prefer to sit a bit more straight up, but it is out of the question.

I want to see you in a S2K with the helmet on lol
There shouldn't be any welding needed. IIRC, all you need to do is just cutting something from the rail..

my guess would be to take your seat rail to a shop and have them cut "__" in off of it and then
have them re-weld the base back on

gl, keep us updated

Can you provide little more information on what they cut and welded?
How much did you have to pay them??

They cut 1" out of the rear of the rails just in front of where it bolts to the floor and welded it back together. I think is was $30 for the job.
