Default EL Gauge power tap in?

I have a set of S7 EL gauge faces installed in my cluster, and I need to patch them into the power system in my '05 ZR. I'm coming back to Nissan from a '95 Honda, and the more sophisticated and solid-state nature of the Z looks daunting. I've checked here by search and in the Nissan Repair Manual, but thought somone here'd have practical experience. Any suggestions on where to hook up so I don't burn anything out?

And just to diffuse potential flames- yeah, I know, it's ricey. I'm building a Star Wars art car for charity appearances, so it fits for now.

Thanks!

Yup- though laughable to you, the Honda was a durable car- and it did get me onto "Top Gear", displayed in the Petersen Auto Museum, and on a ton of tv shows and magazine spreads like Wired, Playboy, Stuff, GQ, Life and more over the past 10 years. I'm excited to do the same with the Z, as I grew up with Datsuns and Nissans and Zs in particular. If things go as they did with the Honda, can't wait until I get the Z on a NASCAR track pre-race for a parade lap.

It's all second-place to the charity work that we do, though- 160 events a year.

Most of you guys are gonna hate my designs. The Honda guys did, until we became the world's most well-known del Sol; but the millions of dollars raised for kids and the hundreds of charities supported, from the soldiers deploying/returning from the middle east to Terminal-cancer kids, make it worth the grief I expect to get here. I'll definitely be the eccentric one...

all nonsense aside, tap into something like your 12v source through your cigarette lighter plug. something constant.
