I'm planning to buy a new stereo for my 08 soon, and I decided to buy a head unit with navigation built in, replacing the Nissan stock nav. Once it's removed from the dash, can I fill in the hole with one of these or do I need to buy the whole waterfall console with the cubby included?

I want to pull the DVD-ROM drive out from behind the driver's seat, as well. I have yet to find a cubby to replace it. I'd appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction for that.

 

You could with a bit of fabrication. The item you linked is for a non-nav car, so instead of a bezel for a 7" screen, theres a small box for storage behind the lid. You could cut the box up and fab up a mount for the screen, but obviously that will take work and a little bit of skill.

 

I've got factory nav already. I'm removing it and trying to figure out what to use to plug up the holes.

 

So, to try to answer my own question, it looks like one of these with one of these would replace the nav screen cubby, and one of these would replace the DVD-ROM drive. Does that work?
