Default Nismo Lip lowering?

So I got my Nismo lip in today and was thinking. Has anyone chopped off the lip in the center on the top so you can install the lip lower on the bumper? I tried to find pictures but no luck. Thoughts?...

The lip, as is, is designed for structural integrity. Affixing it the the bumper gives it adequate support. Altering or cutting the lip is a poor idea.

it would have plenty of support it can still be screwed on the ends and 3m double sided tape along the inside holds up side skirts all day long no different here. I only want to do this because it covers the existing bumper about 4 inches. I want to cover less surface area and plus im just trying something different

Looks like you're going to be dragging it on the ground to me.

You're going to need to add mounting brackets or have the bumper and the lip bonded together.

The first dip that you hit you're whole lip will come flying off otherwise.
