Hey guys. I need some recommendations on anti-rust undercoating. I know some dealers will do this, but I am looking to do it myself. Please let me know! Thanks!!

 

Any auto place will sell undercoating. some are rubber based. get a 3m or other reputable brand. what are you undercoating?

 

Its done a the factory. A $5 rattle can will do nothing.

 

Make sure you wear some type of breathing mask, and eyewear.

Im a collision body tech and if we replace a part thats undercoated (say a trunk floor) the only thing to use is sprayable seam sealer or under coating... from a can. so yes, scuff the part and spray away. that stuff gets everywhere so do some masking also
