Default 350Z undercoating?

Do the Z's come stock with undercoating or some kind of primer to protect the metal? Where I live they put alot of salt down and I sometimes taking it out on those days and I sometimes hear the salt rocks hiting the wheel wells, Ive never heard that before with my other cars.

paint protects from salt.. but once that's gone.. there's rust.. you should probably learn some basic chemistry first

on modern cars, undercarriage coatings are not necessary. Underbodys are typically coated from the factory and use higher-corrosion resistant metals that will resists rust/rotting/corrosion for the life of your vehicle.

Now if you have a car made before the 90's then rust inhibitor coatings might be a good idea.

Hope that helps.

Edit: For peace of mind, whenever you wash your car, just spray down the underside also. Nothing else is needed.

Default undercoating/sound deadening

I removed the plastic wheel liners and sprayed undercoating/sound deadening material in all the inner fender areas. The front wheel area allows you to access the front fender clear back to the front door. It is very noticeable in the reduction of noise. Also remove your rear mat and line the spare tire area with Carpet pad. You will be amazed how much better your cars sounds.

The dealer asked me if I wanted to add the sprayed under coating/sound deading stuff but IMO if I wanted the care to ride quiter I would have bought the G35.

Yes. Look under the car.
