06 headlight swap in base 05
Flame all u want, but the search hear $u@%!!! I can't find a good DIY with photos for mounting 06' headlights to a base 05. Can anyone point me to one. I have found in other forums and there is one in wikipedia, doing searches in the internet, but none have photos. There is one for RETROFIRING with photos, but that's not it. Help would be appreciated since I have some questions about the project in hand.
I hope your car has HID bulbs in it now.
Disconnect your battery, pull off the front bumper, remove the three or so screws that hold each headlight unit in place, remove the ballast, screw ballast into bottom of new headlight units, hook up all wiring, replace screws in the same exact place, replace bumper, reconnect battery...DONE
It's really not hard at all, I did it with NO diy instructions and NO pictures.
Keep in mind that you may want to replace the 168 amber daylight running bulb with a 5000k or 6000k led bulb for looks.

That's the thing, I don't have HID, I'm totally stock so this is from scratch.

I have that DIY, my question from it is, do I have to cut something from 05 headlights?

basically, I know I can also go the other way; changing de 6pin plug from the engine side to the 8ping of an HID. I want photos, the instructions of the ones I found are good, but none have photos. I want to be sure.

, I had seen this DYI, but didn't look closely at the photos. I assumed by the title that it wouldn't help me. FAIL
