Default How Do I Remove My Whole Dash Board?

Hi i'm doing a huge interior build on my car and i need to pull out the dash board in order to wrap it in leather. How do i go about doing this. Also just to clarify i'm not talking about the center dash or center console, I'm talking about the gigantic front dash board. Please no flamers. Thanks.

The question you need to be asking is how to put it back on!

refer to the service manual..

also search thread "remove airbag"

theres two members who completely swapped interiors on here, and the thread has pictures.. its not necessary to remove it to wrap it in leather as most proper leather is far too thick to go over and around many of the gaps in the dash area.

All that needs to be removed are the air bag and instrument console area as well as the under panels making up the bottom half of the dash.

Jus sayin.. im doing the same thing in suede and have done several all leather interiors before. It would be FAR easier and more cost effective to remove your windshield to get at the dash vents if youre doing those too.....than to remove the dash, compromising your quotient for rattles in the future by a long shot.

G instead of Z, but when I removed dash, when it went back in I had A LOT less rattles. Throughout the whole car actually, It was great. Just gotta make sure it goes back in right!

^^I had a rattle coming from what i thought was the gauge clusters, and after I pulled the dash apart, it went away.

I'm going to have to wrap the dash one way or another so i will go by the service manual on how to remove it but if anyone has any personal tricks or tips getting the dash on and off please let me know. Thanks.

p.s. I don't its going to be an option for me to remove my windshield in order to get this thing out, just saying.
