Default 08 Nismo Gauge Cluster in 03?

Does anybody know if a gauge cluster from an 08 Nismo will plug and play and work in an 03, or is the electrical significantly different?

There is a guy parting out a Nismo and I would love to have the 300km/h gauges in my 03 as long as they worked.

Also is the odometer mileage stored in the ECM/BCM, or is it in the gauge cluster? I don't want my odometer reading to change.

Can anybody think of any other cool parts I could buy from the Nismo? Body is a total loss, but interior is good other than air bags.

Bummer!

I don't know how comfortable I'd feel buying a car that I know somebody has swapped the clusters in and the mileage isn't accurate anymore. :s

Maybe if I take a pic of my cluster with it's mileage, and a picture of the new cluster's mileage at the time of install and go from there... Even then, I duno.

I was thinking about it... The airbags blew in the seats though. I have a good upholstery guy that could fix them easily though, but I think I'd prefer some Recaros or Brides.

I'd spend $100+ and buy new gauge face if i was you.(blackcatcustoms) more options and you still have your original gauge console. He has the nismo logo if that's all you want.

Def buy those black and red seats instead.

The Nismo Gauge Cluster has a higher top speed on the speedometer, which just changing the gauge face won't do for me.

I've also already got leather seats in my car, so the red/black cloth would be a downgrade, not to mention that I would have to replace the airbags and repair the cloth that tears when they blow.

350Z_Al: Did you end up changing your 03 with the nismo Z cluster?

Since your are located in Caanda, once you change to the nismo Z cluster, besides that the odometer will read in miles instead of km, will the temp read in F instead of C and the fuel consumption in different units instead of L/100km as well?

Thanks.

The others forgot to mention that the 08 has the HR motor which has a higher redline than the 03, so the tach will be inaccurate
