My hatch is Seibon and that feels pretty flimsy too. I'm going to try to anchor the splitter rods as close to the edge of the trunk as I can. That seems to be where it is most rigid.
I'm also going to use some aluminum plates to reinforce where the actual base of the wing attaches to the trunk.

I went to visit Devari's shop this weekend and they are working on a CF hatch. I think why the other hatches are weak are because they just use a thin layer of fiberglass under their CF. I'll tell Devari about the problems people are having mounting wings on their hatches so that they can make the ones they have stronger.

Wing installed on CF hatch. It may not be the most esthetic way to do this, but it works!!! This thing is absolutely solid.
On the outside, additional support is provided by splitter support rods. They are adjustable, so the wing angle can still be changed. On the inside, I have 1/4 inch aluminum plates.

I figure when i get a GT wing i will just have standoffs welded into the actual trunk and make it so its quick and easy to remove to wing to open the hatch. Something like that will be the best bet.
