Painted door handles thread!
here ya be..
heres mine w a flat black wrap and the good ol EVO R covers.. these actualy fit extremely well.. surprising due to the other pieces i had to suffer thru countless filing etc to get to fit.
If the weave matches, was thinking of doing the Mines carbon handle scoops that go just behind the handle... dunno. They be a bit spendy.
btw....Its ok to laugh at the wheels for now.

haha.. i know i know.. I cheaped out and spent my wheel money on a utec and jwt clutch n fly combo and test pipes.. figured thats a better way to blow that load of cash...
so i ordered XXR 526 in 20x11 and a 6 inch lip.. but im looking at 30 more days before i get em here.. and even THEN.. im sending them to the p-coaters for a dark gold center. So im limpin w skinnies until then.
Summer came quick.. im stuck rollin 9.5 inchers out back! GANGSTA! haha jk.

BUMP! My car is in the shop this week to have the door handles and front side markers painted to match. I am only doing the markers because I absolutely hate Amber! I hope to have the bumper filled in the fall. I may just mount the canards over the painted markers for now.
I'll have to see what it looks like when I line them up by hand.

hey ZS14 quick question, when you painted the handles what type of spray paint did you use? Im looking to do them something like a flat black. I picked up a can of Krylon plastic paint flat black. i just want something that lasts and looks really good. i did the plasti-dip but it just doesnt seem so permanent. im afraid its gonna get peeled off soon :/ would VHT work better maybe?? anyone please help!!!
I ordered 2 spray cans of my factory paint code KH3 Super Black, 2 cans of clear coat from paintscratch.com and some self etching primer from wal-mart to do my handles and came out really good.

got custom made Mag Black Pearl spray paint made for the nismo at local Sherwin Williams store for $20/can
pretty much do mine every 2 years. professional auto body buddy wanted $300 to paint and only wouldn't warranty. said the paint will start to flake after 1-2 years... hmmmmm

for some reason painted door handles never looked good to me on the z... never comes out looking right... oem silver finish was the right way to go. the plastic side mirror mounts on the other hand.........
