I had my wheels plastidipped for awhile. Im planning on doing the door handles... I ended up peeling the plastidip off my wheels because they were chipping but if I decide to reverse the handles after plastidippin them at least the install is easy
I could see plati-dip As a temperarey thing to see if your going to like it or not. The handles are a high traffic are as in opening the door and rocks, but if you like it after a week or so I would paint them. That's just my thought on them but what I wish Nissan would have done from the assembly line was color match them to the car cause it would look so much cleaner.
I know this is an old thread but here is a couple of new pics of mine after I lowered it on Stance GR+ Pro true coil-overs with Swift springs and all cleaned up.
those taking it to a bodyshop to get this done, how much are they charging you? would love to do this to my IF
I took Canards, Louvers, Door Handles, Eye Lids and a rear wiper cap (9 total pieces) and a cheap body shop wanted $250 I believe. (I supplied the paint via paintscratch[com])
Instead, I just had a friend of a friend, who worked at a shop but painted on the side; paint mine... and it turned out pretty good. Paid $250 for everything I think...
Taywan and boliviandaddy23; those both look clean, post pics once installed please.
I ordered 3m scratch protector film to put over mine, but it ended up being too much of a hassle trying to install it, so I forgoed the clear protectant.. still holding up great 6 months later.
