Its hard to see because of the low light and it being an iphone photo. In person, you can see it a lot better.

i'm guessing you didn't remove the door handles to do this right? did you do the underside of the handles? or behind the handles?

I did actually remove the handles. It was easier to spray inside the handles this way.

Do the passenger side first. Just in case you screw up, you can still get in the car correctly.

I think you should clear coat the plasti dip on the handles. Makes them more durable! Like other people said it's a high traffic area. After about three months my plasti dip is peeling on the very front. I don't really know how to explain it, but if you were sitting in the car is the only part of the doorknob you can see in the side view mirrors? Just from normal wear and tear though. I'm going to redo them soon.

BTW I wouldn't recommend taking out the door handles unless you have a deep socket. a VERY deep socket. I tried doing it, and I dropped the bolt to the bottom of the door. My 20 minute DIY turned into an hour.

Nice! I did the same with mine, while I was living in Orlando (about 3 yrs ago) and the emblems are just perfect.

Now I am living in Houston too (North east, 59 with beltway, close to Busch) and no problems yet... However, I am not using at all the Z that much. I guess that's what happens when you have to buy an FX for your wife and use it everyday because you have a 1 and a half year baby. lol

What part of Houston are you bro,! PM me!

Removing the door handles was honestly the easiest thing to do on the Z.

Yes. I was wondering the same thing before I did my handles. My wife and I both looked at the Z and it just looked off.

Thanks. Door handles are easy. Not much you can screw up on taking them off. Worst case scenario is that the screws drop into the door.

i'm really liking this plasti-dip stuff .. couple of friends painted their door handles black with it and it looks really good..

i've been wanting to paint my handles since i got the car so now i think i will! such a cheap and nice looking mod.

question: since my car is black, i do not want my handles to be black (would blend too much, gotta have a little contrast), if i were do do like a base coat of the plasti-dip, and then get some duplicolor paint, would the paint stick to the plasti-dip? ... i want my door handles to be a graphite color.
