I got some Volk Gt7s that im starting to get burnt out upkeeping the chrome. Ive been searching for google photos etcs for all black gt7s but all i seem to get is black spokes chrome lip. Does anyone have a good photo of a z sporting all black gt7s? Ive been trying to trade for a deep dish black wheel but havnt been getting much love so im debating power coating but havnt seen any good photos. thanks in advance.

expect to add a TA stripe on the lip edge...they look like 17"s with a powdercoated lip...and get polished black.

 

That's too bad man, I think they look good the way they came from the Rays factory. Looks really nice against daytona blue that way. I think painting the lips black kills the effect of the wheel. I agree with Zeriafan's advice about the TA stripe, but I still didn't think it looked that great (no offense Zeriafan!)

 

I disagree. I've always felt that a polished lip on a black wheel makes them look smaller. I think blacking them out completely would look good. It's definitely going to change the look though.

Another thought is to do matte black centers and gloss lips.

 

chrome lip kinda died for me about 3 years ago with the gun metal theme.hit it with some gold.
