Default Shine v2 front bumper install.

Hey guys,

I just received my shine v2 frong bumper, and i am taking it to the body shope to have it painted and installed.

Mine didn't come pre-drilled, but there are marks where it should be drilled. For those who installed it themselves, did you just drill within those markings and the bumper went on fine?

I ask because I don't want to pay for the ridiculous installation fee, and I am thinking I can do this myself since I have taken the oem bumper off many times before. My only concern with aftermarket bumpers, the fitment isn't always perfect and it requires the body shop to modify it sometimes.

Any other tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

If I were you, I would test fitted the bumper myself. Yes, you do have to drill those holes.
Shine Auto products have very good fitment. I don't have the V2 bumper, but I have their sides and rear addons. Good luck.

But can you trust the marks where you need to drill on the bumper itself? Or are they off a bit and you will have to make your own to get a perfect fitment? I know shine has a good reputation for fitment, but I just question the accuracy of the marked spots. I wonder if I can just drill the markings then play around with fitment...etc etc. Thx for the input thus far.

Yes, you can. if anything you just have the drill the hole according to fitment. Shine Auto Project products fit great, every aero piece on my Z is from Ken.

I would have it fitted at the shop where you are having it installed. If they mess it up they have to fix it, if you mess it up your either stuck with it not fitting right or your going to have to pay extra to have it fitted where you messed it up.

Have it done right....... the first time.
