does anyone have a picture of the backside of the drivers side door handle?

my door won't open anymore, so i'm having to roll the window down and pop it from the inside.

i'm thinking I may just need the door handle, and not all the inner workings. but I can't tell what all is included with the door handle as every pic on the net has only the front side.

im willing to bet your rod came off. just take the handle off and see. the whole handle is mechanical so somthings eithter bent or popped off ad can be fixed by hand prolly.

 

I had this happen to me. The plastic clip that the rod goes in broke somehow. You have to buy the entire door handle if so because nissan doesn't sell the clip alone...hopefully it just popped out.

if you look at the link, and then look at the 4th picture from the 1st set.

behind that yellow piece is a spring that should be connected to the actual handle. that spring and plastic has completely shattered and separated itself from the rest of the handle.

of course nissan is trying to sell me every little piece of the entire door assembly, but now that I see the backside, I think I only need the handle itself.

i'm gonna take a shot at it in the near future. I think this can be a DIY vs. paying $400 for the stealership to fix it.

no problem boss, if you need another handle you could probably get one used at slidegood Inc on the vendor classifieds/exterior sections. If you need a new one, then contact my boy mike@conceptz, he has better prices then dealerships/nissan courtesy.

 

Like I said when this happened to me I had to buy the interior door handle. I think it was around $90.

when you say "interior door handle", what part are you referring to? are you saying the handle on the inside to the left of the steering wheel?

i'm thinking the door handle itself has all the parts I need.
