Default Hell story of veilside v3

Hi everyone, First of all ill tell you that im a french canadian so my english isn't the best but ill try to do my best to tell you all problem i got during the veilside installation

I know i made a mistake by buying a replica its my fault but when i bought it 2 years ago i didnt have the money to buy the real one so i bought the highest quality replica bought for 2k instead of 2.6k because i got sponsorised.

After i got enought money to install it i tried to find someone to install it .. after like 10 guy said no because they prefer do insurance jobs i FINALLY found someone. he said come see me in 3 days. Same day i was parked with a friend talking and i told him wich guy will install my bodykit and he said * wtf my car is there just go see the job he done on my car and you wont bring your car there!* the paint was full or orange peel.

restarted trying to find someone then a guy come see me and he said someone told me your looking for someone and i said yes. my father know this guy and he is installing body kit and doing old car rebuilds for many many years.

first of all the compagnie that sold the bk told me that it was perfect fit and i know it wasnt true but when i got the kit it seems to be very high quality and the fitment was LOOKING to be good.

He estimate the cost for 1.2k for the paint, fiberglass and the job. when they take out my bumpers and test fit i was not bad except the rear.

so after 2X more time then espected they finally primed the kit and start sand it and when they start to sand both rear and front bumper was full of bubble in the fiberglass so another 2/3 days to restart over and fill the kit from inside with layers and layers of fiberglass.

They finally installed the body kit and then paint it and shoot the clear. Another 2 problems

First. the compagnie sent the wrong paint so it wasnt matching at all

After 2 days the clear wasnt dry they called the clear compagnie and they told they made a mistake on a this *batch* and they forgot to place the component that dry it

so i have to wait another weeks or 2 because they have to sand it AGAIN to take away the clear.

the companie that sold the paint told that it wasnt there fault so maybi the clear compagnie will pay for the paint because the guy will try to tell them that the clear f*cked up the paint* Ill have a call tomorow i hope to get new paint.

Estimate: 1.2k 1week
Now: 2k and i have to pay the guy to paint it again. 1month

Your first mistake was buying the VS kit in the first place. Should have sold it and recoup the money.

that sucks you had the bubbling issues and wasting more money at the bodyshop. hopefully they get it right the second time. and yes the widebody version will require very aggressive wheels to make it look flush around the fenders.

sometimes its worth buying the real stuff. who did you get the kit from? after being on this forum, ive learned to do my research on products. We have alot of feedback from the first pioneers in the 350z game, it would be a shame not to learn from their experience.

so my advice, hope for the best, see the project through, and please post pics.

glw your project

You are making some nice rice there buddy. Remove taillights, v3 kit, and rims and you'll be ok.

It hard to tell the fitment from just looking at the pictures, but theyre doing good on making it fit. Hopefully you get the paint to match.
