If I understand it correctly, the original poster bought the car with the "problem" clearly visible at the time of purchase. I don't think it is a dealer problem to fix when the problem was apparently acceptable when the original poster took delivery.

Any ideas? What decals/stickers give the most noticeable increase in HP?
nismo, nissan. I might also put a color coded sticker over it like the ones in frnt of the rear tires protecting from rock chips.

Exactly. Something fishy here. Anyways, clean it up and use touch up paint or another sticker.

If you accepted the vehicle like that at delivery, sounds like your stuck with it. As for the wax build up, you can take a soft bristled tooth brush to get the small particles out. Be very gentle. Hope you can possibly get the dealer to fix it. Good luck!

I don't plan on taking the vehicle back to try and get them to fix it. I'm happy with my purchase and I bought it how it is so its my fault for not noticing this to begin with.

Not that it matters to me but I find it hard to believe that it was repainted. It only had one owner who drove it less than 5k miles a year - I can't imagine why it would need to be repainted unless the original factory job was flawed.

Anyway no big deal. I ordered some touch up paint that'll fix it good enough for me.

Thanks for the help.

Accident? Did you do a background check on the vehicle like a CARFAX?

lol people coming from hondas think Z's get crap mileage. people coming from camaros and f-150s think it gets amazing gas mileage lol. i for one was used to 6mpg in the 70s camaro and my 05 silverado gets about 11mpg. the z more than doubles my second most efficient car in mpg.

where did you order the touchup paint from? how much? can pm me.
i need some to fix the nicks aroung my taillights from removing them over and over, man those things are harder to get out than any other car why do they ever make anything 'snap' onto a car, because guess what its gonna have to snap to come off and the snaping cone thing only snap correctly one way. easy for machines to snap on bumper, near impossible for human hands to snap off. end rant.
