Default Painted headlight visibility ??

How dramatic is the difference in visibility for 03-05 HID headlight housings painted all black. I'm looking at a pair that is already finished and am interested in buying them. But if it's too hazardous for night driving, then I won't consider it.

I think painting the entire housing black reduces light output greatly. I think you would have difficulty seeing at night.

Depends on if the headlight is the earlier gen reflector based or the new model which is an actual true projector.

Yeah they are the old gen headlights. They just look really good. Gues I'll sack up and paint my own and leave the reflectors.

Thank you all for your feedback. I came across these Euro Style headlights already black and HID replacement. I was just wanting to get an opinion on these.

only thing i don't like about those is when it's turned on the side strip is LED and the high beam is halogen as shown in the picture. i prefer the look of the 06-08 bixenons more. but who knows these might look decent. i would like to see an installed pic to get an overall impression.

These actually don't look half bad considering they're aftermarket non oem headlights. And they're much cheaper than 06+ bixenon's. Might be something to think about.

Yeah I agree with you BoomerZ33 about the look of the 06 headlights and their HID. They look much better. But I'd have to save up for a bit for a set of those. If I go with these I'll upload a pic.
Yeah Shaddy-Z these are definitely cheaper and already black which is a ++. I like them and my budget likes them too. Appreciate the comments guys!

We're all waiting for a guinea pig for those headlights. I've been checking for anyone would get them, post pictures, and review comments.

OP - DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

I say go with these and let us know! I mean they have the LED down the side which isn't the best. But What car doesn't have LED's somewhere now a days? It's not just an "audi" thing. Lexus is starting to come with them from the factory. If you're happy with them I think I'll jump on them too!
