Ok I have seen threads about someone making the nismo v2 bumper in poly and nothing has come of it. So I asked a company I have bought parts from over the years for my 3000gt, z32, and ordered parts for friends cars since the 90's. They will make the bumper in poly but going to need 20 orders with a 25% payment down to get it started. Im just waiting on an email back on the price to see if it is going to be worth it. But since roads suck between mississippi and lousiana one of my favorite places to go, and the fact i want to slam my car again. I don't feel like doing repairs every other week and spending a fortune to be repainted. So anyone who is interested and seriously interested please post here so i can have the company check the thread. They are a very reputable company as they have been in business for many years.

 

I want one, just not the junk that is available or OEM that costs a fortune.

I would be intersted. What is shine's made of? This is what I have and hit some crazy **** and no cracks(except for when a mech decided to take her up on a ramp that was to steep).

Shine makes theirs from a "hybrid frp". Basically a very flexible fiberglass. I had one from them also and it went through hell and back.... held up pretty well.

 

I'd be down if the price is reasonable. My fiberglass V1 has been put through the ringer, I'm pretty sure its only being held together by the 3M film.

 

I want one. If the fit is on point Ill buy one. I dont want to do a aerosync again, and I've always liked the look of the v2, but car is to low for FG or CF parts. So count me in on one. All I ask is that the price point fair, 250-350 range.

i know where this is going to end up but just curious...is this 25% of whatever XXX amount, refundable if fitment and quality is horrible, what guarantees are there?

 

$450 will the final price guys. Not sure if that will be a shipped price or not. But he has said it will be full poly and no abs plastic.I would also like to know would everyone like it to be badgeless. This is probably going to be a one time deal on a group buy. But after this the casting will be made. I paid 699 for my fiberglass nismo v2 and fitment sucked ***. After a couple of cracks and other small bad spots I decided to sand mine down and glass everything nice and even with the body lines. I am sending email now to get the answer some of you are looking for. But the price is 450. just trying to find out the details and see what everyone is looking for. I prefer badgeless myself. others may like it. let me know

 

Only problem I can imagine is in the canard mounting. I don't think Poly, ABS, etc.. is rigid enough so a brace would be needed for the inside of the bumper.

 

well that would be up to the buyer. but yes i think a thin piece of aluminum to back it up would work just fine.
